Hike for Hospice Success

Hike for Hospice Success

On May 5th our community came together in support and celebration of the work of the Sunshine Coast Hospice Society at our annual “Hike for Hospice”. Around 150 people attended the event, raising close to $45,000!

Our success is your success as these funds enable the Hospice Society to continue to provide much needed palliative and bereavement services for the residents of the Sunshine Coast. We extend our deepest gratitude to every business, organization, and individuals who so generously offered their time and services, made donations, and provided sponsorship support, we could not have done it without you!

Together we make a difference; together we create a compassionate community. A special thank you goes out to Howard Paull and Deborah Baker for their moving blessing to start the day, MLA Nick Simons, SCRD Chair, Lori Pratt and District of Sechelt Mayor, Darnelda Siegers for welcoming everyone, to the crew from the Sechelt Lions Club for providing the BBQ lunch, and to Anne Selder and Elizabeth Byrne of the Comfort Quilt group, Coast Quilters’ Guild for providing the beautiful quilt raffle.
