Living With Dying Resources

Living With Dying - The Film Series

Living With Dying isn't about knowledge, training, medical care, or following particular religious practices. It's about a deep connection with life itself, allowing life to take care of us and allow life to take care of others.

Living with Dying is a six-part video series and documentary produced by Sunshine Coast Hospice and directed by Velcrow Ripper and Nova Ami of Transparent Film. This is an intimate glimpse into the experience of facing a life-limiting illness and caring for a loved one in that situation.

In honest and tender interviews, twelve residents on the Lower Sunshine Coast of BC share their personal reflections on being a patient, a caregiver or a health care professional. We learn what matters to them most and what some of their hopes and concerns are, giving us insight into how we might navigate this confusing and sometimes frightening journey.
