Tess joined Hospice in June 2021 after three decades of work in community living for people with developmental disabilities, most recently as Director of Adult Services for Kinsight Society. Tess is a long-time Gibsons resident and also a dedicated volunteer with the Gibsons Royal Canadian Marine Search & Rescue station. Having gone through the experience of losing both her parents, she’s gained a very personal perspective on the issues related to end-of-life care, and how important it is for community members to choose from a continuum of options to live their best quality of life. She’s excited to be leading Hospice at such a pivotal time in the organization’s history.

Coast Hospice

Providing compassionate care to individuals facing end-of-life and their families since 1987. Whether at the hospital, in your home, or in one of the four temporary hospice rooms at Silverstone Care Centre, we are here to support you. We also offer programs and services for grief support, bereavement, and advance care planning, with the assistance of trained community volunteers. In partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health, we are working towards opening the Coast’s first dedicated residential hospice in 2026.
