Non-monetary Gifts
Give items, services or shop for Hospice care! Here are some ways you can support Hospice creative while still receiving immediate tax benefits.
Make a Gift-In-Kind
We welcome gift-in-kind donations such as furniture, food or beverage, artwork, technology, and other items to use in our program spaces or to use for a fundraiser!
If you would like an official tax receipt for your item, then you must first have the item appraised to determine the fair market value before we can issue a receipt! This backup or appraisal is kept with the tax receipt information for our records.
Gift of Services
If you would like to donate your skills to Hospice and receive a charitable tax receipt, then we will follow the guidelines set by the Canada Revenue Agency: We will sign an agreement for Hospice to receive and pay for the service, and then you can donate the payment back to us for an official tax receipt.
IGA Cards
Support Hospice every week while shopping for groceries! MarketPlace IGA locations on the Sunshine Coast offer us 4% back on your grocery shopping bill as a donation to Hospice. This way of giving significantly adds up over time.
To participate, simply pick-up an IGA fundraising gift card from Hospice House, add funds to the card when you are at the grocery checkout, and use the card to pay for your bill! There is no expiration date on the funds you add to the card, and it can be refilled as often as you like!
