Ellen Adelberg moved to Halfmoon Bay in 2016 after raising two daughters with her husband and completing a 30+ year career in communications and marketing in Ottawa, mainly in the non-profit sector. She has a deep interest in Hospice, based on her personal experience of caring for loved ones in their last days of life. When not volunteering, Ellen can be found hiking on the myriad, beautiful, nearby forest trails; in her garden; or in a dragon boat or kayak on the Salish Sea.

Coast Hospice

Providing compassionate care to individuals facing end-of-life and their families since 1987. Whether at the hospital, in your home, or in one of the four temporary hospice rooms at Silverstone Care Centre, we are here to support you. We also offer programs and services for grief support, bereavement, and advance care planning, with the assistance of trained community volunteers. In partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health, we are working towards opening the Coast’s first dedicated residential hospice in 2026.
